What we treat

Recovery begins with an honest picture of substance use.

Blue Springs Wellness treats alcohol and drug use disorders as the primary condition. Our dual diagnosis approach also considers health, functioning, relapse risk, recovery supports, and co-occurring mental health symptoms that directly affect sobriety.

01

Alcohol use disorder

Treatment may address repeated alcohol use, loss of control, cravings, consequences, relapse patterns, and the skills needed to build stable recovery.

Severity, withdrawal risk, and the appropriate level of care are assessed individually.
02

Drug use disorders

Structured care may address misuse of opioids, stimulants, sedatives, cannabis, or multiple substances through recovery-focused clinical planning.

Blue Springs does not provide emergency detoxification or medically managed withdrawal.
03

Relapse risk and recovery stability

Care can focus on cravings, triggers, emotional regulation, accountability, relationships, work, and the recovery environment that affects continued sobriety.

Treatment goals and intensity are adjusted as needs and progress change.
04

Dual diagnosis / co-occurring care

Depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and mood instability may be treated within the same plan when they affect substance use severity, relapse risk, functioning, or participation.

Alcohol or drug use disorder remains the primary admitting and treatment focus.

Assessment matters

The level of care comes from the whole assessment.

Two people using the same substance may need very different levels of support. An ASAM-informed assessment considers intoxication or withdrawal risk, biomedical conditions, emotional and cognitive needs, readiness for change, relapse risk, and the recovery environment.

If Blue Springs is not the appropriate setting, the responsible next step is to discuss detoxification, residential, inpatient, emergency, or another level of care.

A clear next step

You do not have to figure this out alone.

Speak with admissions to ask questions, understand the assessment process, and learn whether one of our addiction treatment programs may fit.
