Our approach

Addiction treatment should be structured, personal, and clinically honest.

Blue Springs Wellness organizes adult SUD and dual diagnosis treatment around ASAM-informed assessment, individualized recovery goals, evidence-based clinical work, and a practical plan for life after treatment.

How care is organized

One plan, reviewed from more than one angle.

Treatment planning brings together substance use assessment, SUD-focused group care, one-to-one clinical work, coordination with other providers when appropriate, care coordination, and planning for the next level of recovery support.

The team reviews what is helping, what is getting in the way, what increases relapse risk, and whether the current level of care remains medically necessary and appropriate.

Principles in practice

What people should be able to expect.

01

SUD primary

Alcohol or drug use disorder is the admitting, treatment-planning, authorization, and recovery focus.

02

ASAM informed

Level-of-care decisions consider risk and need across the six ASAM dimensions.

03

Integrated

Co-occurring mental health support is connected directly to cravings, relapse risk, functioning, and treatment engagement.

04

Transparent

Program expectations, limitations, insurance uncertainty, and next steps should be explained plainly.

Clinical methods

Tools are selected to serve the plan.

Care may incorporate cognitive behavioral strategies, DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, strengths-based work, trauma-informed planning, relapse prevention, recovery education, group process, and coordination with medical or psychiatric providers when clinically appropriate.

Mental health interventions are used when they support craving tolerance, affect regulation, treatment retention, and other SUD goals. The exact methods depend on assessment, clinician scope, treatment goals, and current program availability.

A clear next step

You do not have to figure this out alone.

Speak with admissions to ask questions, understand the assessment process, and learn whether one of our addiction treatment programs may fit.
